Description

The eSun PETG Solid Yellow in the proven 1.75 mm format combines PLA's printing ease with the robustness of engineering materials. This vibrant yellow brings colour to your projects and is perfect for functional parts that need to stand out. PETG excels with its high impact resistance – it's even tougher than ABS – while offering excellent chemical and water resistance. The smooth, slightly translucent surface gives your prints a professional appearance. Thanks to minimal warping tendencies, even larger parts succeed reliably. Whether electronics enclosures, mechanical components or tools – this filament masters demanding tasks with excellence. Processing is straightforward and requires no enclosed print chamber.

Applications

  • Functional parts and mechanical assemblies
  • Electronics enclosures and housings
  • Tools, jigs and fixtures
  • Waterproof applications and containers
  • Snap-fit connections and clips
  • High-stress visible components

Recommendations

For optimal results, enable Z-seam alignment and disable Z-axis lift during retraction. Print at lower speeds for better surface quality. Never use bare glass as a print surface – PETG adheres extremely strongly and can tear out chunks. A textured PEI plate or release agent is ideal. For stringing issues, reduce temperature by 5–10 °C and increase retraction. Dry at 60–65 °C for 4–6 hours before printing. This filament is compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

PETG is difficult to sand as it tends to smear. However, it can be drilled, sawed and glued well. Acetone does not work for smoothing PETG surfaces.
Pure PETG without dyes is fundamentally food-safe like PET bottles. However, coloured filaments and 3D prints create microstructures – without sealing, prolonged food contact is not recommended.
PETG adheres extremely strongly to the print bed. Never print directly on glass – chunks can be torn out. Use a textured PEI plate or release agent.
PETG tends to form strings. Increase retraction settings, reduce temperature by 5–10 °C and slightly increase print speed. Dry filament also reduces stringing.
PETG is significantly more impact-resistant than PLA, offers higher temperature resistance up to approximately 80 °C and is water and chemical resistant. It's better suited for functional parts and mechanical stress.
