Description
The Fiberon™ ASA-CF08 Black in 1.75 mm format is a high-performance outdoor filament reinforced with 8% carbon fiber. This technical material in classic black combines ASA's excellent UV resistance with the added stiffness and strength from carbon fibers. With heat deflection close to 100 °C, it's perfect for demanding outdoor applications.
The carbon fiber reinforcement provides a Young's modulus exceeding 3600 MPa in the X-Y plane and significantly improved bending strength. The material withstands UV radiation, weathering, and mechanical stress equally well. The matte, deep black surface gives printed parts a professional, technical appearance.

Recommendations
Use a wear-resistant hardened steel or ruby-tipped nozzle – a brass nozzle lasts only about 9 hours. Print without part cooling for optimal layer adhesion. This material is moisture-sensitive and should be dried at 90 °C for 6 hours before printing. Store filament below 20% relative humidity. Print in well-ventilated areas or with an enclosed printer. Note: This material is conditionally MMS-compatible – carbon fibers may cause increased feeder wear.
