Description

Fiberon™ PET-GF15 by Polymaker is a high-performance filament in 1.75 mm format, reinforced with 15% glass fiber for exceptional mechanical properties. The black coloring gives your prints a professional, technical appearance. With a Young's modulus exceeding 4100 MPa and a bending strength of 104 MPa, this material excels for structural components requiring high stiffness. The glass fibers ensure minimal thermal expansion and excellent dimensional stability. After annealing, the material achieves a heat deflection temperature of up to 133 °C, making it ideal for warm environments. The material is moisture-sensitive and should always be stored dry.

Applications

  • Structural housings and covers
  • Heat-resistant motor mounts
  • Precision jigs and fixtures
  • Industrial replacement parts
  • High-load fastening elements
  • Thermally stressed components

Recommendations

Always use a wear-resistant nozzle made of hardened steel or with ruby tip, as brass nozzles wear out after approximately 9 hours of printing. Print without part cooling for optimal layer adhesion. For thermal requirements above 80 °C, annealing at 120 °C for 16 hours is recommended – keep parts with support structures in the oven. MMS Note: Limited compatibility with multi-material systems – the abrasive glass fibers cause accelerated wear in the feeder.

FAQ

Always use a wear-resistant nozzle made of hardened steel or with a ruby tip. Brass nozzles wear out after approximately 9 hours of printing due to the abrasive glass fibers.
Annealing is only required if you need temperatures above 80 °C. Without annealing, heat deflection is around 72 °C; after annealing at 120 °C for 16 hours, it reaches up to 133 °C.
Slight color variations can occur due to differences in crystallization, especially with varying layer times or cooling settings. This is normal material behavior and not a quality issue.
The material is moisture-sensitive and should be stored at relative humidity below 20%. Drying at 100 °C for 10 hours is recommended before printing.
With limitations. The abrasive glass fibers cause accelerated wear in the feeder of AMS, CFS, or ACE systems. Regular inspection of feeder components is advisable.
