Description

The Polymaker Fiberon™ PET-GF15 in Red is a high-performance glass fiber reinforced filament in 1.75 mm format, engineered for demanding technical applications. With a 15% glass fiber content, this material delivers exceptional stiffness with a Young's modulus exceeding 4100 MPa and tensile strength approaching 60 MPa. Heat deflection temperature reaches an impressive 87 °C after annealing, enabling use in thermally demanding environments. The vibrant red color remains intense after processing and is perfect for visible functional components. Thanks to its reinforced structure, the material offers minimal warping and excellent dimensional stability for complex geometries.

Applications

  • High-strength structural parts and enclosures
  • Heat-resistant motor mounts and covers
  • Precision jigs and assembly fixtures
  • Functional prototypes for load testing
  • Industrial spare parts with high rigidity
  • Drone frames and UAV components

Recommendations

For optimal results, we recommend using a wear-resistant nozzle made of hardened steel or ruby, as brass nozzles wear out after approximately 9 hours of printing. The material is moisture-sensitive and should always be stored dry (relative humidity below 20%). For applications above 80 °C, annealing at 120 °C for 16 hours is recommended – keep the print on the build plate during annealing. Slight color lightening after annealing is normal and material-related. Conditionally MMS-compatible: glass fiber reinforcement may cause increased feeder wear.

FAQ

Due to the glass fiber reinforcement, we strongly recommend a wear-resistant nozzle made of hardened steel or ruby. Brass nozzles wear out significantly after approximately 9 hours of printing.
Yes, the material is very moisture-sensitive. Dry it at 100 °C for at least 10 hours and store it below 20% relative humidity. Wet filament leads to print defects.
Annealing is only required if your application needs to withstand temperatures above 80 °C. Without annealing, heat deflection is approximately 72 °C, after annealing you achieve 87 °C.
Leave the part on the build plate and place both in the oven at 120 °C for 16 hours. Avoid touching and ensure temperature is evenly distributed throughout the oven.
The material is only conditionally MMS-compatible. The glass fibers can cause increased wear on the feeder mechanism. Regularly monitor feeder condition when using with AMS, CFS, or ACE systems.
