Description

The Fiberon™ PETG-rCF08 Black in 1.75 mm format combines the proven properties of PETG with recycled carbon fibres for a sustainable high-performance solution. The integrated carbon fibres give the material a distinctive black appearance with an elegant matte surface texture and significantly improved mechanical properties. With a tensile strength of up to 59.8 MPa and a Young's modulus exceeding 3700 MPa, this filament is perfect for durable functional parts and precise technical components. The low warping tendency and high dimensional stability ensure reliable print results even with complex geometries. Thanks to the carbon fibre reinforcement, the material achieves stiffness far beyond standard PETG – ideal for tools, housings and mechanical assemblies.

Recommendations

For optimal results, we recommend a wear-resistant nozzle made of hardened steel or with a ruby tip, as carbon fibres rapidly wear out brass nozzles (lifespan approx. 9 hours). The filament is moisture-sensitive – store it dry below 20% relative humidity. Dry at 65 °C for 3 hours before printing. An enclosed chamber is not required, but moderate cooling (0–50%) improves surface quality. Conditionally MMS-compatible: the abrasive carbon fibres may cause increased wear in the feeder of multi-material systems.
