Description

The Panchroma™ PLA Matte from Polymaker in the convenient 1.75 mm format impresses with an elegant muted white and velvety matte surface. The special matte finish eliminates distracting reflections and gives your prints a sophisticated, modern aesthetic. With print speeds up to 300 mm/s, this filament is excellent for productive printing sessions without compromising quality.

This biodegradable PLA material is ideal for beginners and experienced users alike. It produces virtually no odour during printing and doesn't necessarily require a heated bed. The outstanding detail accuracy makes it the first choice for architectural models, design objects and presentation pieces where a reflection-free surface is desired. The muted white harmonises perfectly with minimalist interiors and is particularly suitable for objects intended for painting.

Applications

  • Architectural models and building prototypes
  • Design objects and modern home accessories
  • Figures and sculptures for post-processing
  • Presentation models and exhibition pieces
  • Cosplay props with realistic surface finish
  • Educational and demonstration materials

Recommendations

Start with a print temperature of 210 °C and adjust as needed. A heated bed at 50 °C improves adhesion but isn't strictly required. The matte finish is excellent as a base for acrylic paints – light sanding with 400 grit optimises paint adhesion. This filament is fully compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE and Prusa MMU for multi-colour projects.

FAQ

The matte surface provides a uniform, porous structure that absorbs acrylic paints optimally. Unlike glossy filaments, no distracting reflections appear under the paint layer. Additionally, the muted white serves as a neutral base that doesn't distort colours.
Yes, PLA prints easily without a heated bed. However, a bed at 25–60 °C improves adhesion for larger objects. Alternatively, use a glue stick or hairspray on a cold glass plate.
For optimal matte surfaces, we recommend 150–200 mm/s. The maximum 300 mm/s is suitable for prototypes where speed matters more than surface finish. Slightly increase temperature at higher speeds.
Yes, the Panchroma™ PLA Matte is fully compatible with common multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE and Prusa MMU for multi-colour projects.
For new filament, drying is usually unnecessary. If you notice hissing or bubbling after prolonged storage, dry the spool at 55 °C for 6 hours in a filament dryer or oven.
