Description

The Panchroma™ PLA Satin Blue from Polymaker combines the proven qualities of PLA with a satin finish that gives printed objects a velvety surface with a subtle sheen. In the practical 1.75 mm format, this filament is perfect for detailed projects that require a high-quality aesthetic. The elegant blue colour with satin finish makes it the ideal choice for decorative objects, vases, and presentation models. Thanks to PLA's easy printability, even beginners achieve clean results – without toxic fumes and with barely noticeable odour. The high detail accuracy enables fine structures, while the satin surface conceals minor imperfections and gives finished objects a professional appearance. This filament is ideal for architectural models, figurines, and prototypes that need to impress visually.

Applications

  • Decorative vases and home accessories
  • Architectural models and display objects
  • Figurines and collectibles
  • Prototypes for design reviews
  • Cosplay props and accessories
  • Personalised gifts

Recommendations

For optimal results with the satin finish, we recommend a printing temperature in the mid-range. A heated bed improves adhesion but is not mandatory. For post-processing, light sanding with fine-grit paper is possible, though the satin surface already provides an attractive finish. The filament is fully compatible with multi-material systems such as Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

The satin finish sits between matte and glossy, providing a velvety surface with a subtle sheen. It conceals layer lines better than glossy PLA and appears more refined than purely matte material.
A heated bed is recommended (25–60 °C) but not mandatory. PLA adheres well even on unheated surfaces, especially with the help of adhesives like glue stick.
PLA is generally not recommended for permanent outdoor use as it's UV-sensitive and can soften above 50 °C. For outdoor applications, we recommend PETG or ASA.
The filament supports speeds up to 300 mm/s. For optimal satin surfaces, we recommend moderate speeds of 150–200 mm/s for the best surface quality.
Yes, the Panchroma™ PLA Satin Blue is fully compatible with common multi-material systems such as Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.
