Recommendations

For optimal results with the Silk finish, we recommend a printing temperature around 210 °C and moderate speeds up to 200 mm/s for best surface quality. Enable part cooling for clean overhangs. Post-processing is usually not necessary – the sheen appears right after printing. If desired, fine sandpaper (400 grit and up) and clear coat can add even more brilliance. Compatible with common multi-material systems (AMS, CFS, ACE, MMU) for multicolor prints.

FAQ

The Silk finish contains special additives that create a silky sheen and gently reflect light. Unlike matte PLA, surfaces appear more premium and luxurious. The printing properties remain as easy as standard PLA.
A heated bed is optional but recommended. You can print at 25–60 °C for best adhesion. Without a heated bed, use an adhesion promoter like glue stick.
Yes, the filament is fully compatible with multi-material systems like Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU. You can easily combine it with other colors or materials in a single print.
Although the filament supports up to 300 mm/s, we recommend moderate speeds around 150–200 mm/s for optimal Silk surfaces. At higher speeds, the silky sheen may be less pronounced.
For fresh spools, drying is usually not necessary. If you notice symptoms like hissing, bubbles, or poor surface quality, dry the filament at 55 °C for 6 hours as per manufacturer recommendation.
