Description

Polymaker™ PETG Black is a versatile filament for dependable functional prints. It combines PETG’s toughness and chemical resistance with very low warping and minimal odor—ideal for precise prototypes and robust end-use parts. In deep black, surfaces look clean and professional. Developed by Polymaker, it delivers consistent extrusion and a refined finish in the 1.75 mm format. PETG is tougher and more impact resistant than PLA and stays dimensionally stable under moderate heat while remaining easy to print. This makes it excellent for enclosures, jigs, tool holders, and mechanical assemblies built for daily use. PETG also drills, saws, and bonds well for post-print adjustments.

Recommendations

Store the filament dry and condition it before printing if moisture is suspected. PETG sticks very strongly: never print directly on glass—use a release agent or a matte PEI surface. To reduce stringing, increase retraction, lower temperature slightly, and print a bit faster. Sanding is difficult (it smears), but drilling, sawing, and gluing work well; acetone does not work.
