Description

Polymaker™ PETG Blue is a high-quality filament in the practical 1.75 mm format, offering the perfect balance between printability and mechanical strength. With its vibrant blue color, this PETG is excellent for functional parts and technical prototypes. Polymaker has optimized this material for high flow rates, enabling clean surfaces and fast print times. Low odor emission makes printing comfortable even in enclosed spaces. PETG combines the easy processing of PLA with the toughness of ABS – without warping issues. High impact resistance and chemical stability make it ideal for housings, mechanical components, and tools. Thanks to low moisture absorption, print quality remains consistent even with extended storage.

Applications

  • Functional parts and mechanical assemblies
  • Electronics housings and enclosures
  • Tools, jigs, and fixtures
  • RC parts and drone components
  • Technical prototypes and small batches
  • Transparent covers and sight glasses

Recommendations

For optimal results, use a PC or textured PEI build plate. Enable the cooling fan at 20–60 % for better overhangs. PETG tends to string – experiment with retraction settings between 1–3 mm at 20–40 mm/s. Store the filament dry or use a PolyBox™. If moisture absorption occurs, dry at 55 °C for 6 hours. An enclosed chamber is not required. This filament is fully compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

No, an enclosed chamber is not required for PETG. This material has low warping tendency and prints easily on open printers. A heated bed at 60–70 °C ensures good adhesion.
Polymaker recommends PC or textured PEI as the build surface. These materials provide excellent adhesion during printing and allow easy removal after cooling.
Polymaker PETG is optimized for high flow rates and supports print speeds up to 300 mm/s. Actual speed depends on your printer and settings.
PETG is less moisture-sensitive than other materials but can absorb moisture during extended storage. If you experience issues, dry at 55 °C for 6 hours. Maximum water absorption is approximately 0.5 %.
Yes, Polymaker PETG is fully compatible with common multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.
