Description

Polymaker™ PETG in Dark Grey is a cost-effective, high-flow filament in 1.75 mm format, engineered for improved all-around performance. With its excellent flow characteristics, this PETG enables faster extrusion while delivering a clean surface finish. The understated dark grey colour is perfect for technical components and professional prototypes requiring a neutral, industrial appearance.

PETG combines the best properties of PLA and ABS: superior impact resistance and temperature tolerance compared to PLA, minimal warping, and low odour during printing. This material is ideal for functional parts, electronics enclosures, and mechanical components subjected to daily stress. Its good chemical resistance also allows fabrication of parts in contact with oils and weak acids.

Applications

  • Functional parts and mechanical assemblies
  • Electronics enclosures and housings
  • Tools, jigs, and fixtures
  • RC parts and drone components
  • Prototypes for stress testing
  • Industrial replacement parts

Recommendations

For optimal results, use a PC or textured PEI build surface. Set the cooling fan to 20–60 %. PETG absorbs moisture – store in a dry environment or use a PolyBox™. For stringing issues, slightly reduce print temperature or increase retraction. Compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

Polymaker recommends PC sheets or textured PEI surfaces. These provide optimal adhesion during printing and allow easy removal of the finished part after cooling.
PETG is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture from the air. For best results, dry the filament at 55 °C for 6 hours. Dry storage in the PolyBox™ is recommended.
Yes, Polymaker™ PETG is engineered for print speeds up to 300 mm/s. Its high flow rate enables fast extrusion while maintaining a consistently clean surface finish.
Yes, the filament is compatible with popular multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU. The uniform diameter tolerance ensures reliable feeding.
PETG shows good resistance to oils, greases, and weak acids. Resistance to strong acids and alkalis is limited – in such cases, consider alternative materials.
