Description

Polymaker™ PETG in vibrant orange combines robust material properties with excellent printability in the standard 1.75 mm format. This cost-effective high-performance filament has been engineered for improved flow, delivering clean surface finishes with minimal odour. The bright orange hue is ideal for safety parts, enclosures, and functional prototypes that need to impress both visually and mechanically. PETG offers the perfect balance between PLA's ease of use and ABS's toughness. With its high impact resistance, good chemical resistance, and low warping tendency, this filament is the go-to choice for demanding functional parts. The glass transition temperature of approximately 71 °C enables applications with moderate heat exposure.

Applications

  • Functional parts and mechanical assemblies
  • Electronics enclosures and housings
  • Tools, jigs, and fixtures
  • Safety parts and warning elements
  • RC components and drone parts
  • Prototypes for load testing

Recommendations

For optimal results, we recommend a PC or textured PEI print surface. Set the cooling fan to 20–60%; an enclosed chamber is not required. For long-term storage, keep the filament dry – ideally in a PolyBox™ or PolyDryer™. PETG tends to string, so retraction settings of 1–3 mm at 20–40 mm/s are recommended. This filament is compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

Yes, a heated bed is recommended. The optimal temperature is 60–70 °C. PC plates or textured PEI are particularly suitable as print surfaces.
Yes, Polymaker PETG is relatively easy to print. It warps little, produces minimal odour, and doesn't require an enclosed chamber. The printing parameters are forgiving.
Pure PETG is generally food-safe. However, 3D-printed parts can harbour bacteria due to their layered structure. A coating is recommended for food contact applications.
PETG absorbs moisture. Store the filament dry, ideally in a PolyBox™ or airtight container with desiccant. If needed, dry at 55 °C for 6 hours.
Yes, Polymaker PETG is compatible with common multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU. The consistent diameter tolerance ensures reliable feeding.
