Description

The Polymaker™ PETG Purple is a high-quality filament in the practical 1.75 mm format, distinguished by its vibrant purple color. This cost-effective PETG material was engineered for improved all-around performance, enabling faster extrusion with a cleaner surface finish. With excellent printability and low odor emission, it's perfect for reliable prototyping and robust end-use parts. PETG offers the ideal balance between PLA's ease of use and ABS's durability – impact-resistant, chemically resistant, and with minimal warping tendency. Particularly noteworthy is its heat resistance up to approximately 80 °C and the ability to create transparent and translucent prints. Compatible with common multi-material systems, this filament excels for functional components, electronics enclosures, and mechanical assemblies.

Applications

  • Functional parts and mechanical assemblies
  • Electronics enclosures and controller housings
  • Tools, jigs, and fixtures
  • RC parts and drone components
  • Prototypes requiring high impact resistance
  • Translucent design objects and light guides

Recommendations

For optimal results, we recommend a PC or textured PEI print surface. Cooling should be set to 20–60%, an enclosed chamber is not required. For extended storage, use a PolyBox™ or PolyDryer™ as PETG absorbs moisture. Dry the filament at 55 °C for 6 hours before printing. Retraction should be between 1–3 mm at 20–40 mm/s. This filament is fully compatible with multi-material systems such as Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

The recommended print temperature is 240–260 °C. For best results, the heated bed should be set to 60–70 °C. A PC or textured PEI surface provides optimal adhesion.
Yes, PETG absorbs moisture from the air. We recommend drying the filament at 55 °C for 6 hours. For storage, a PolyBox™ or PolyDryer™ is ideal.
Yes, this filament is fully compatible with common multi-material systems like Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU for multi-color prints.
PETG is ideal for functional parts, electronics enclosures, tools, and mechanical assemblies. It offers higher impact resistance than PLA and is chemically resistant to oils and weak acids.
Polymaker PETG Purple supports print speeds up to 300 mm/s. This makes it particularly suited for rapid prototypes and efficient series production.
