Description
The Polymaker PolyDryer™ is a professional filament drying system co-developed with FabNotion. The system consists of the Dry Dock as the active heating unit and the PolyDryer™ Box as an airtight storage solution. With three adjustable power levels and drying times up to 24 hours in regular mode or unlimited in continuous mode, the device reliably dries all common 3D printing materials. The intelligent controls allow precise adjustments based on filament type – from 6 hours for PLA to 24 hours for PC. The included colour-changing silica gel desiccant indicates moisture levels and can be regenerated directly in the PolyDryer™. The system accommodates spools up to 205 mm diameter and supports all common filament diameters from 1.75 to 3.00 mm.
Applications
- Drying hygroscopic filaments like PA, PVA and TPU
- Long-term storage under controlled conditions
- Regeneration of already moist filament spools
- Preparation of engineering materials for high-quality prints
- Continuous drying during printing
- Professional filament storage in print farms
Recommendations
For optimal results, we recommend completely drying the filament before the first print according to the material chart. For hygroscopic materials like PA or PVA, the filament should remain in the box during printing and be fed to the printer via the PTFE tube. Regenerate the desiccant when it changes from orange to dark green – this can be done in the PolyDryer™ itself at level 3 for approximately 8 hours. Always ensure the airlocks are tightly sealed during storage to maintain consistently low humidity.
