Description

Polymaker PolyLite™ ASA in White is the professional choice for all outdoor 3D printing applications. This premium 1.75 mm filament excels with its outstanding UV resistance and weatherability – your prints won't fade even after years of sun exposure. With a glass transition temperature of 97.8 °C and heat deflection above 100 °C, this material is perfect for applications with elevated thermal stress. The matte, high-quality surface finish gives your projects a professional appearance. Thanks to its impact strength of 10.5 kJ/m², your parts remain intact even under mechanical stress. The neutral white is ideal for technical components, enclosures, and outdoor applications where durability and aesthetics are equally important.

Applications

  • Outdoor enclosures for electronics and sensors
  • Garden and balcony accessories
  • Automotive parts: brackets and covers
  • Drone and RC components for outdoor use
  • Weather station housings
  • Solar technology mounting systems
  • Facade elements and building technology

Recommendations

For optimal results, we recommend using an enclosed print chamber, as ASA is sensitive to drafts. Disable the part cooling fan for best layer adhesion. BuildTak® or Magigoo work excellently as print surfaces. For complex geometries with overhangs, use PolyDissolve™ S2 as soluble support material. The surface can be smoothed with acetone after printing if desired. This filament is compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

An enclosed chamber is recommended as ASA is sensitive to drafts. Without enclosure, you may experience warping and cracking. For smaller objects in a draft-free environment, printing is still possible.
PolyLite ASA is designed for long-term outdoor applications. Thanks to its high UV resistance, your prints remain stable and colour-fast for over 10 years without fading or becoming brittle.
Yes, ASA smooths excellently with acetone. You can use acetone vapour or carefully apply it with a cloth. This results in a smooth, near injection-moulded surface finish.
Polymaker recommends PolyDissolve™ S2 as soluble support material. It dissolves in water and enables complex geometries with clean overhangs without laborious post-processing.
No, ASA is not suitable for food contact. For food-contact applications, we recommend certified food-safe materials such as specific PETG or PLA variants.
