Description
The Polymaker PolyMax™ Tough PLA in Black combines the easy printability of PLA with significantly improved mechanical properties. This premium 1.75 mm filament is an excellent alternative to ABS, featuring an impressive impact strength of 38.9 kJ/m². In classic black, this material is perfect for functional prototypes, robust housings, and mechanically stressed components. Thanks to its glass transition temperature of 61 °C and enhanced toughness, your prints will be considerably more durable than with standard PLA. The filament adheres reliably to BuildTak®, glass, or blue tape with glue or Magigoo. Ideal for makers who appreciate PLA's user-friendliness but require more robust results.

Recommendations
Print PolyMax™ Tough PLA with the part cooling fan enabled for optimal surface quality. For best adhesion, use BuildTak® or glass with glue stick. For overhangs exceeding 60°, use PolySupport™ or water-soluble PolyDissolve™ S1. Post-processing is easily accomplished through sanding or painting. This filament is compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.
