Description

Polymaker PolyTerra™ PLA in Earth Brown offers you a high-quality bioplastic filament in 1.75 mm format, engineered for reliable printing results. This warm, natural earth tone is perfect for organic designs, terrain models and rustic decorative objects. PolyTerra™ PLA stands out for its ease of use – ideal for beginners and experienced users alike. The material prints virtually odourless and produces no toxic fumes. Thanks to excellent adhesion on common surfaces like BuildTak®, glass or blue tape, even ambitious projects succeed without issues. The high detail accuracy makes this filament the top choice for architectural models, figurines and prototypes. With a glass transition temperature of 60.6 °C, PolyTerra™ PLA suits all indoor applications without thermal stress.

Applications

  • Architectural models and terrain representations
  • Nature-themed decorative objects
  • Figurines and collectibles
  • Prototypes and concept models
  • Cosplay props with wood or earth effect
  • Educational and demonstration material
  • Vases and planters for indoor use

Recommendations

For optimal results, we recommend a mid-range nozzle temperature and a slightly heated bed. Enable the fan for clean overhangs up to 60°. For bridges and fine details, reduce speed. Post-processing is straightforward: sanding, priming and painting work excellently. For water-soluble supports, combine with PolyDissolve™ S1. This filament is fully compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

A heated bed is optional but recommended. Temperatures between 25–60 °C improve adhesion, especially for larger prints. Without a heated bed, the material also works well on BuildTak® or with glue stick.
PLA is generally not suited for permanent outdoor use. UV radiation and moisture can degrade the material over time. For outdoor applications, we recommend ASA or PETG.
Yes, the filament is fully compatible with common multi-material systems like Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE and Prusa MMU. The uniform diameter tolerance ensures reliable filament changes.
The material sands, primes and paints excellently. The matte surface accepts paint well. For smooth surfaces, start with 200 grit and work your way to finer sandpaper.
For new, originally packaged spools, drying is normally not necessary. For older spools or if you notice hissing and bubbling, dry the filament at 40–50 °C for 4–6 hours.
