Description

The Polymaker PolyTerra™ PLA+ in Satin Blue with its elegant satin finish combines environmental consciousness with outstanding print quality. This premium filament in 1.75 mm format was designed from the ground up to define the next generation of PLA. The unique satin finish gives your prints a soft, refined shimmer that sits beautifully between matte and glossy.

PolyTerra™ PLA+ impresses with its biodegradable base and ease of use, making it ideal for beginners and professionals alike. The material prints virtually odourless and doesn't necessarily require a heated bed. The high detail accuracy enables delicate structures for architectural models, figurines and decorative objects. As an MMS-compatible filament, it's perfect for multi-colour projects with Bambu AMS, Prusa MMU or similar systems.

Recommendations

For optimal results, we recommend a print temperature of 200 °C and bed temperature of 60 °C. Use BuildTak®, glass or blue tape as your print surface – a glue stick improves adhesion. Keep the cooling fan on for clean overhangs. For angles beyond 60°, we recommend PolySupport™ as support material. This filament is fully compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

The satin finish sits between matte and glossy, creating a soft, elegant shimmer. Unlike the highly reflective Silk finish, satin is more subtle and refined without being completely matte.
A heated bed is optional but improves adhesion. We recommend 25–60 °C. At room temperature, the filament also works well, especially with glue stick or BuildTak® as a base.
Yes, PolyTerra™ PLA+ is fully compatible with multi-material systems like Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE and Prusa MMU. The consistent quality ensures reliable colour changes.
Ideal for decorative objects, figurines, architectural models, vases and cosplay props. Thanks to its satin finish, it's particularly suited for representative prints with a premium appearance.
Normally no drying is required. For older spools or if you notice symptoms like hissing or bubbling, we recommend 40–50 °C for 4–6 hours in a filament dryer.
