Description

The Polymaker PolyTerra™ PLA in Sunrise Orange brings warm, vibrant tones to your 3D printing projects. This premium filament in 1.75 mm format impresses with its matte surface that gives printed objects an elegant, reflection-free appearance. The characteristic orange hue evokes the first rays of morning sunlight and is perfect for decorative objects, vases, and figurines.

Developed by Polymaker as a next-generation bioplastic, PolyTerra™ PLA combines ease of use with excellent print quality. The material is ideal for beginners as it prints virtually odor-free and doesn't require a heated bed. Its high detail accuracy makes it perfect for prototypes, architectural models, and cosplay props. With a tensile strength of 23.2 MPa and good impact resistance, it delivers reliable printing results.

Applications

  • Figurines and collectibles
  • Prototypes and concept models
  • Architectural models and displays
  • Cosplay props and accessories
  • Educational materials
  • Indoor replacement parts

Recommendations

For optimal results, we recommend a nozzle temperature of 200 °C and a bed temperature of 60 °C. The matte surface effectively conceals minor print imperfections and layer lines. For post-processing, fine sandpaper works well; the material can also be painted with acrylic paints. If older spools show moisture symptoms, dry at 40–50 °C for 4–6 hours. This filament is fully compatible with multi-material systems including Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU.

FAQ

A heated bed is optional but improves adhesion. We recommend 25–60 °C. Printing at room temperature also works, though with increased warping risk for larger parts.
The matte surface is robust and suitable for everyday use. It actually conceals minor scratches better than glossy surfaces. For heavily used parts, a clear coat is recommended.
Yes, the filament is fully compatible with Bambu AMS, Creality CFS, Anycubic ACE, and Prusa MMU. The consistent diameter tolerance ensures reliable material changes.
This warm orange shade is ideal for autumn decorative objects, vases, lampshades, and figurines. The matte finish makes it perfect for prototypes and presentation models without distracting reflections.
Fresh spools don't require drying. If the material shows symptoms like hissing or bubbling, we recommend 4–6 hours at 40–50 °C in a filament dryer.
